New housing vacancy for The Arepo Farmworker Fund (Farmworker Affordable Housing Scheme)

We are pleased to offer a new property vacancy through the Arepo Farmworker Fund - affordable housing for farmworkers.

A vacancy exists for a tenant for our brand new 2-bedroom bungalow located in a new housing development on the edge of the Howgill Fells and close to the centre of the popular town of Sedbergh.

The property is semi-detached with 2 bathrooms (one being ensuite), a kitchen/diner with integrated appliances and separate lounge area.

The monthly rent is reduced by 50% of open market rate and is currently £470.00 pcm, inclusive of the annual service charge. Utility bills will need to be paid direct to the suppliers. The EPC Rating is currently B.

 

To be eligible to apply:

Arepo Farmworker Fund applicants must be:

  1. Over 45 years of age and disabled, or over 60 years of age and retired and

  2. who are or have been a farm or forestry worker, resident in England or Wales, but not a farm tenant or landowner working on their own account

  3. or a widow/widower of the same, but not children or dependents, although this does not preclude such living with the tenant.

There is a preference for, but not limited to, those who have worked in Cumbria for 5 years or more and who fulfil the above conditions.

Annual household income must be insufficient to purchase or rent a property on the open market.  A financial assessment will be made.
