Welcome to the Addington Fund

Our mission is to help farming families like yours in times of need. As a specialist farming and rural charity, we provide disaster relief and houses for families in England and Wales who must leave the industry and therefore their home, through no fault of their own.

Housing Solutions

Whether you are a farmer or tenant farmer, if you have no choice but to leave your current property, turn to us. We buy Retirement Homes specifically for farmers who find themselves in this situation. We care about sustaining a vibrant rural workforce, so if you work in agriculture or a rural industry, our Affordable Houses scheme may also offer a much-needed solution.

Disaster Relief

Emergencies can arise through no fault of your own. When the worst happens, we are here. Our emergency fund supports farmers who are severely impacted by disease outbreaks or prolonged periods of extreme weather. With minimal fuss, we will dispatch vital supplies direct to your farm. Our priority is to help you avoid all kinds of both human and animal suffering.

Farmworker Grants

Are you an active or retired farmworker in England on a low income? If so, we can ensure that you don’t have to go without essential furnishings. We offer grants through the George Stephens Trust Fund to help you purchase those all-important items for your home such as white goods or bathroom equipment.

Young Entrants Scheme

Are you an ambitious young person with designs on a career in agriculture? We want to encourage the best young talent to bring new ideas and progressive thinking to UK agriculture so that they can, in time, make a telling contribution to the industry.
